The mission of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities (S3H) is to develop leaders in social sciences by advancing professional values, knowledge, and skills through contemporary and traditional program and policies.

We aim to achieve the mission through transformative teaching and learning, supported by interdisciplinary thinking. The vision is to create, disseminate and apply knowledge in the social, behavioural and economic sciences in collaboration with technological fields. This mission believes in developing personal identity and integrity as key to professional competency and effectiveness; and acknowledges and reinforces the relationship between the person and the local, national and global community. We derive this mission from our goal to advance knowledge and learning and use them for human welfare and societal advancement. ​
