Summary
I am a PhD scholar in English Linguistics, currently serving as a Lecturer in English at the School of Social Sciences and Humanities (S3H), NUST, Pakistan. I bring over ten years of teaching experience at prestigious institutions, including NUST, NDU, IIUI, and NEI, Islamabad. As a multidisciplinary researcher, my work spans visual linguistics, multimodality, discourse analysis, management sciences, economics, peace and conflict studies, and resistance studies.
I am an active curriculum developer, having designed the certificate for the IELTS course offered by NAVTTC and led the development of the BS English curriculum 2025 based on HEC’s revised guidelines. I also served as Head of the Board of Studies (BoS), successfully securing approval for the BS English curriculum, which is currently being implemented at NEI.
Additionally, I participated in US Embassy projects and received professional training from American educators. The insights and pedagogical techniques gained through this experience have significantly helped me make my classrooms interactive, engaging, and student-centred. I strongly believe in activity-based teaching that fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and holistic learning.
