Dr. Sundus Mustaqeem (Media Professional) Freelance Journalist/Social & Communication Researcher/ TV & Radio Broadcaster Dr. Sundus Mustaqeem is working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mass Communication, NUST. She completed her Ph.D. from the School of Multi-Media Technology and Communication, University of Utara Malaysia (UUM), Area: “Framing Communication Strategies Towards Countering Violent Extremism among Political and Military Leaders in Pakistan”. . Dr. Sundus Mustaqeem has been serving the media and communications since 2006. She has work experience in Electronic, Print, and Web Media as well. . On 14th August 2021, she was awarded by the Governor's House Lahore with the “Fatima Jinnah National Pride Award” & “101 Incredible Women CEOs of Pakistan” to work on CVE as her Ph.D. Thesis and on her online Fashion and Lifestyle Magazine named “Mix Plate Magazine by Sundus.” https://www.mixplatemagazine.com.pk/ She has been serving in Magazine Journalism and Radio Journalism since 2006. She has worked with 13 print and Web Magazines, including Daily Nation. She has launched her complete online Lifestyle Magazine, “Mix Plate Magazine” by Sundus. https://www.mixplatemagazine.com.pk/ In 2020, she worked in-house with BBC Urdu Pakistan and is now affiliated with Independent Urdu Pakistan as a Free Lance Journalist. In Radio Broadcasting She has been affiliated with Pakistan’s Oldest FM Radio Station, FM 100, since 2006 as a Radio Broadcaster and is also affiliated with Radio Pakistan, Islamabad Headquarters, as English News Reader and Current Affairs Program Host for the Programs, “Azam-e-Pakistan”, “Kashmir Bany ga Pakistan”, and for Special Transmissions like “Aap ka Wazeer-e-Azam” Aap k sath”. She also worked with UniUtama.FM University of Utara Malaysia Hosted & Produced the Program “Exploring World via Radio with RJ Sundus. . She has worked with different TV Channels both on screen as a Program Host and behind the scenes as a Producer. Prominently, Express News Channel, Such TV, and Hum Television Network. . She was selected for a Fellowship Program to the USA to work for abc10News KGTV, San Diego, California, via the US-Pak Journalists Exchange Fellowship Program in 2014. . She has the honor to deliver Special Lectures on Radio Broadcasting at UNIUTAMA.FM Broadcasting & Editing Workshop for the undergraduate students of UUM and the University of Management and Technology, UMT Lahore. She has also delivered a Special Lecture as a Speaker at “TEDX UUM Salon” in Malaysia. . While proceeding with her professional career successfully, she has been teaching at different universities as a Visiting Faculty Lecturer, namely the Asian Institute of Cambodia in Malaysia. . She did her M.Phil. (Research Track), In Communication Studies from the Institute of Communication Studies, the University of Punjab, with a 3.31 CGPA, and secured a 3.82 CGPA in 4 years B.S (Hons) Program in Communication Studies from the Institute of Communication Studies, University of the Punjab. She also did a (Private) Master’s in Political Science and went through the CSS attempt in 2013. . As a Researcher she has produced the following Research Papers under Academic Contribution: .
